I collect endearing old antique photos. Found this one in a $1 bin in a small rural farm town USA. Once I got home, I realized that this photo has written “Kraków, Poland, 1945”. I did my best to translate the back - a daughter sending her dad this. Based on it being in 1945 and no postal (assuming hand delivered), I assume this is post liberation but have some context questions. Would she have been dressed like this for a parade or something at school? What would someone search to find other photos like this one? I am assuming her dad may be elsewhere (maybe even somewhere close by) but could even be higher up in the Polish military? Any other context clues or names that would help me find out more would be appreciated. submitted by /u/Accomplished-Fox3548 [link] [komentarze]
