This may sound a bit petty but my biggest beef with "Web3" is the term itself. It's not the web! Blockchains may have their uses but you can't browse the web on them. Imagine if VP8 was called PDF3. I want to be mad about the presumption but it doesn't even make sense!

My cynical side wants to believe it's an attempt to free-ride on the goodwill of the world's greatest distributed infosystem. But I see a lot of people who should know better using the term without remark.
